Didam Laah
Didam Laah is a trained communication strategist, award-winning broadcast journalist, community engagement expert, public speaker, newscaster, rural development advocate and vlogger, with a master’ Degree in Strategic Communication. He is an experienced manager of development projects with over 10 years of experience in development communication, community engagement and broadcast journalism. He has a keen interest in public and community relations, education support services, citizen engagement, governance, social Inclusion and NGO capacity building. Much of Didam’s career has been spent in training and setting up community development systems, monitoring and evaluation of communication strategies.
Didam has worked on projects with PERL-DFID, Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue, Kaduna State Peace Commission, Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission, Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority, and most recently a social inclusion project: Kaduna State Covid-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus Program (KD-CARES), Kaduna Book Drive and Bridging the Gap. He has a one-year public service experience as Special Assistant to Kaduna State Governor under the Kashim Ibrahim Fellowship (a one-year youth leadership and capacity building programme) during which he provided customized community communication strategies and frameworks to bridge communication gaps between government ministries, departments and agencies, and local communities to guide policy and decision making. He is currently the Assistant Station Manager at Invicta 98.9FM in Kaduna state, where with the support of other staff have moved the organization to a second position from fourth in the state 2021 media rating.
