OKOLIE SUSAN ONYELISI is an ambitious indigene of Delta State, Nigeria. She has over four years of volunteering experience in the NGOs/ CSOs space. She is a Co-Founder of The Young Leaders Rights and Patriotic Initiative of Nigeria (YOLPIN), a Civil Society Organization where she serves as a Program Coordinator. She is a graduate of Mass Communication from Imo State University, Owerri and currently running a Post Graduate Diploma in Criminology and Security Studies (CSS) with the National Open University, Abuja.
She is a passionate advocate of peace and security, transnational governance, democracy and democratization, women and youth empowerment, gender agenda in politics, women participation and women inclusiveness in governance, politics and development, with a huge interest in a knowledge-based economy, intellectual capital development, and research and data analysis for development.
She frowns at injustice, corruption and all forms of vices against humanity. She aspires to be a part of the round-table of leadership where good policy for good governance would be made for the development of Nigeria and Africa at large.
She has participated in various national and international capacity-building and training workshops and short courses, which include, among others: the Young Political Leadership School Africa, Monrovia, 2021; The Bounce Corruption Lab, 2019; and The Young Women in Politics Boot Camp, 2020. She is among few Nigerians, who received award for #18 Project Challenge, aimed at creating awareness and sensitization for unreached Nigerians to register and collect their Permanent Voters Card (PVCs) in Abuja.
