Abdul-Warith Opeyemi Oladimeji is a dynamic and dedicated professional with a strong background in nonprofit management and policy advocacy. With a passion for social impact and a drive to make a difference, he has consistently demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of underserved populations and advocating for systemic change.
As the Founder and Executive Director of the Future Builders Initiative (FBi), a development-focused nonprofit organization in Osun State, Abdul-Warith leads a team dedicated to providing educational and leadership development opportunities to young people in underprivileged communities. FBi’s work extends to the areas of Democracy and Governance, Peacebuilding, and Community Development. Through strategic planning, program management, and team leadership skills, Abdul-Warith has played a crucial role in creating impactful initiatives that empower and uplift youth.
Abdul-Warith’s years of experience (2019-2023) as a Legislative Aide at the Nigeria House of Representatives, National Assembly further showcase his expertise in policy advocacy and legislative processes. During his tenure, he conducted extensive research, developed policy proposals, and contributed to the development of new laws and policies. His ability to foster strong relationships with key stakeholders has been instrumental in driving positive change within the legislative arena.
Beyond his professional roles, Abdul-Warith is committed to community service and has actively volunteered with reputable organizations such as Global Rights Nigeria, YIAGA Africa, Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD), Raising New Voices Initiative, and Kimpact Development Initiative (KDI). He has contributed to projects focused on enhancing civil society frameworks and promoting transparency in the democratic and electoral processes. His experience in conducting research, monitoring, and documenting proceedings has allowed him to provide valuable insights and contribute to the overall success of these initiatives.
Abdul-Warith is a fellow of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung – Open Minds, Young Voices (OMYV), New Voices Citizens Fellowship, and African ChangeMakers Fellow. He is also an Alumnus of the Community Organizing Institute of Yiaga Africa. With a Master’s degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B), and currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Peace and Conflict Studies at Osun State University, Abdul-Warith’s educational background complements his practical experience, positioning him as a well-rounded professional in his field.
