Director, Community Engagement, Connected Development
Kingsley Agu is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse range of experiences and skills. He holds a Masters in Public Administration from the Nigerian Defence Academy Postgraduate School, where he achieved a GPA of 4.21. Additionally, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, graduating with Second Class Upper Honours.
Kingsley has held various positions throughout his career, showcasing his leadership and management abilities. Currently, he serves as the Director of Community Engagement at Connected Development (CODE), where he leads and manages partnership activities across 10 African countries. In this role, he oversees project management, advocacy efforts, community engagement, and capacity building initiatives related to procurement structures and MERLA (Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, Learning, and Adaptation). Uchenna’s expertise also extends to program management, as evidenced by his previous role as Programs Manager at CODE, where he successfully implemented programmatic activities in Nigeria.
His extensive experience includes working on projects related to education, social safety nets, and community mobilization. Uchenna has collaborated with various organizations, such as Save the Children, the World Bank, and the National Social Safety Nets Office (NASSO). Furthermore, he has contributed to drafting inclusive education policies and has been actively involved in initiatives promoting accountability, transparency, and citizen engagement in governance.
Kingsley possesses a broad range of skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, public speaking, strategic planning, research, social media, project management, team building, event planning, and leadership. He is also well-versed in areas such as report writing, marketing, public relations, coaching, and driving. With his strong background in biochemistry, he brings a unique scientific perspective to his work.
Throughout his career, Uchenna has been involved in notable experiences and achievements. These include participating in regional summits, leading capacity-building initiatives, conducting third-party monitoring for World Bank projects, and organizing high-level events with prominent stakeholders. He has also contributed to the development of education policies, facilitated training sessions, and implemented projects that have positively impacted communities across Nigeria.
