Dr. Praise-God Adesoji is a purpose-driven civic leader and ECOWAS Youth Ambassador passionate about advancing inclusive development through innovation, climate resilience, and youth empowerment. With a strong background in leadership and social impact, he has worked at the intersection of governance, education, and sustainability, addressing systemic challenges across West Africa.
His TEDx talk, “From Local to Global Audience: How to Strategically Position for Opportunities,” reflects his advocacy for strategic youth engagement in policy and civic spaces. As the Co-founder of Waterbrooks Technologies, he leads initiatives that combat post-harvest losses in Nigeria by providing solar-powered, eco-friendly cold storage systems for rural farmers. This innovation has extended the shelf life of perishable produce, reduced carbon emissions, and improved food security for underserved communities.
His work directly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (1, 2, 8, 13) and demonstrates how climate-smart agritech can empower local economies. In his capacity as an ECOWAS Youth Ambassador, he represents and advocates for over 100 million West African youth, promoting regional cooperation, youth-led development, and civic participation.
He also consults for social impact organizations across Nigeria and the UK, advising on sustainable development strategies, education reform, and community-based projects. These roles have deepened his expertise in stakeholder engagement, youth policy, and social innovation.
The Emerging Political Leaders Fellowship presents a timely opportunity to translate his grassroots experience into systemic political influence. He is eager to sharpen his understanding of institutional governance and contribute to forward-thinking, inclusive policy frameworks. This Fellowship will equip him to champion bold reforms that foster economic empowerment, sustainable agriculture, and accountable governance for the next generation of African leaders.
