Following a rigorous selection process that attracted over 700 applications from across the country, the chosen fellows have demonstrated exceptional leadership potential, dedication to public service, and a commitment to driving positive change in their communities.

The programme, designed to equip emerging leaders with the context, skills, and networks necessary for their political journey, commenced with an induction/onboarding event on  Friday, May 24th, 2024. During this event, fellows were introduced to the programme structure, expectations, and key milestones.

Additionally, a Pre-training Immersion is scheduled for May 27th, 2024. This immersive session will provide fellows with an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the programme curriculum, connect with fellow participants, and engage in discussions on critical political issues.

The topic for the Pre-training Immersion Fireside Chat is “Getting Ready to Lead: Navigating Adversity and Building Sustainable Political Impact.” Key panellists for this session include:

The session will be moderated by Mr Abayomi Oke, Alumni, 2023 EPLF Alumni Association.

Over the course of the programme, which will run for five months, fellows will participate in a series of interactive virtual training sessions, activities workshops, and discussions aimed at enhancing their understanding of critical political issues, developing essential leadership skills, and fostering meaningful connections.

As part of the programme, fellows will engage in a range of activities designed to deepen their knowledge and broaden their perspectives on key issues facing our nation. These activities will include civic engagement projects, policy discussions, and networking opportunities with experienced political leaders and experts.

The culmination of the programme will be a residential BootCamp in November, providing fellows with an immersive and intensive experience designed to further enhance their leadership capabilities and prepare them for the challenges ahead.
